Back To School? It’s in our DNA

My gosh, what a  week!

If you have kids and you work, you have to bank for at least 4 late nights or early mornings this week alone, to DEAL with the hysteria your kinds will bring to the table getting them selves launched into the new school year.

It’s all about the impact they want to make, how they want to be seen, who they want to be seen with….it’s not unlike branding really.

Then there’s the teacher thing, the teams and clubs thing, and the pressure about what to join and not to join..that pressure often conflicts between what the child wants, you want and what his or her peers think is kool/not kool.

Oh yes, there’s also “the look” factor, most of us went back to school shopping and its a science; as parents you have to keep your kids real, but at the same time help them develop a sense of style and self through the one creative process they all identify with…

Boy or Girl, it is important to them..though I think with Girls, the drama gets a little intense; hence why I have been up early…..getting myself dressed first so I can coordinate 3 girls (1 started kindergarten, 1started middle school and 1 started high school)

So here I am, tired and kind of distracted…and there’s a whole other rush, I think “Back To School” is in our DNA as a work force.

There is a reason labour day and back to school coincide, it’s no mistake, I am sure.

Some methods are just so easy to apply and clear the written examination, held by the Texas Department of Public Safety and other viagra prescription find these guys state agencies. All medicine generic viagra discount thought about this includes the precaution which one should take before having the pill. If you work, you were once a kid and September means the start of new things, a new year….and for many of us the end of Q4.

Suddenly my clients are opening searches, my candidates are interviewing like mad and my bosses are headed for Q4 results…..

Every September it’s like someone opened up the flood gates and Shazam!!!! There’s no reprieve now, from this we head into Thanksgiving (all the tryptophan in Turkey does help you relax), Halloween- a classic time for market swings and changes (and Mid Terms), then Christmas (parties, gifts and the rush to close business before), Easter (again a classic time for markets to go a little hay wire, no mater what your religion some event distracts around that time)…..

It actually gets scientific ..if you dare to get that analytical…try reading “Mechanisms of Seasonal Cycles of Behavior”

So, brace your selves….the calendar dosent know we really didn’t get much of a summer….we are high tailing into production mode on all levels, even the traffic has gotten worse…don’t kids walk to school any more?

Here’s to a successful September and hopes that every one hits their numbers …..literally and metaphorically speaking.

I am the founder of i-identify inc., a Toronto-based recruiting company, founded in 2013. My research uncovers full-time, interim and contract professionals who are leaders in their respective fields. My early work was focused on the emerging tech - sector, and later expanded into retail and consumer packaged goods technologies. In the past five to six years I have broadened my expertise to include Canada's public and not-for-profit sectors, working on assignments as far north as Iqaluit, uncovering talent as senior as Deputy Ministers, Commissioners and executives at the C level. I've become a search generalist who specializes in identifying great talent.
